It was a fantastic indoctrination into the world of coaching for me in 2008--A nice extension of teaching wouldn't you know ;) I worked with 10 athletes last year and it was my pleasure getting to know each and every one of them. These people pushed me as much as I--hopefully--pushed them. From Alcatraz swims, 5Ks, 10Ks, half-marathons, marathons, sprint triathlons, olympic, 70.3, and Ironman-distance triathlons--we did them all, and finished strong I might add. Even when the chips were down, people rallied, hung in there, and got the job done (this sends the goose-bumps down my spine just writing it). Naturally, we have some new finish-lines to chase after this year. So let's get started. Dream big and let's work backward from there. Ready?
One New Year's resolution for yours truly will be to maintain my blog this year (I have a link on my Facebook as well). I will need your help with this blog-fest of course--this is a team effort after all. So, please send any cool pics my way and I'll be sure to post them, along with some witty commentary. I'm really looking forward to some great adventures this year. Remember to "point positive" in the direction of your goals. As Einstein said, "Full effort is full victory." :)
I just put up a blog slideshow containing a bunch of random photos from 2008. Be sure to check them out. Simply click on a pic and you'll be redirected to my Picasa album.
